Dr. Davidson corresponded with a variety of different persons. The first three boxes contain letters written to and from Dr. Davidson to authors, politicians, businessmen, educators, etc. Persons with a great amount of correspondence were given their own folder. Box 4 contains copies of tests, lecture notes and class outlines for two of Dr. Davidson's history courses that he taught at Davidson College. Scope and Contents
The collection consists of correspondence 1939-1992 primarily between Wharton and Dr. Chalmers Davidson, a copy of a 1934 Alumni Journal article on Wharton, and an essay on Caleb Richmond Harding, Davidson class of 1880 and faculty member, 1888-1935. The essay was written for Professor Ewrin and has his corrections on it.
